Secret santa

I got the grinch movie in my secret Santa present. I watched it in the afternoon it was quiet funny.

Curried sausages

We made curried sausages in cooking with the leftover sausages from the freezer. We added curry powder, fried onions and stock - delicious! 

Classic flyers

I went for a trip to classic flyers the aeroplane museum. There were lots of different planes and history of aviation there. Check out these cool pics.

Karaoke

I had so much fun in singing this week. I sung shotgun by George Ezra. It’s my favourite song at the moment and I know all of the words. I sung a few other songs too!

Dancing

We had a fun day on Thursday - singing, dancing, sausages and socialising.

Birthday, Bears and Pampering

I celebrated my birthday this Thursday and it was the same day that Reuben the Road Safety Bear visited and we had a pamper day! I had a hand massage and an eye mask on.  What a great day!

Swimming

Now that the weather is warmer the sports group are heading to the pools every Tuesday! 

Hangi & Disco Day

Today we had a disco at our centre while our lunch was cooking. In our Hangi we had Chicken, Pork, pumpkin, potatoes, cabbage and fried bread followed by steam pudding and custard. 

Music

I belted out one of the lifehouse songs called hanging by a moment in my music session. I listened to my mates sing their favourite songs too!

Life skills outings

This week I enjoyed an awesome outing we walked from The Elms all the way to the Matapihi bridge all my friends came too and we had a blast.

Road safety

This week in Lifeskills I helped wash the green van and make it squeaky clean! Then we went for a walk through Greerton village shops and practiced our road safety looking both ways for cars when we crossed the road and went across driveways.

Moo sic

I had awesome fun with my friends in music today, I sang 4 young blondes and other songs, check me out!

CAP money course

We went to a money course to learn about budgeting and money skills. It was very intresting and I learnt a couple of things. 

Circus in a flash

Some circus guys came to the centre and showed us some tricks and I had a go at some of them.

Oropi Hot pools

I enjoyed a relaxing swim out at Oropi hot pools. It was pretty hot, so I chilled out on the ramp to get some cold air and cooled down.

American Hot Dog

 We made American Hot Dogs in cooking. It was yum. I’ve already made these at home before.

Darts

I ended a trip to the Marble Bar to play a game of darts this week! 

Scottish day.

I had a really good time on Scottish day, all of the centres got together and competed in the Highland games. We played the egg and spoon race and bowling as well as lots more, check me out!

I went to the Tauranga Art Gallery this week and saw some cool exhibits!

Working hard

Worked hard this week making sure I got some pocket money! Now I need to deliver these babies and it’s cold outside, brr.

Sports

We've been trying out some relay races for the Highland games. My team won the race!

Ticking off another goal.

I completed my goal of making and serving a meal and cleaning up afterwards. I helped to make pumpkin soup and pumpkin pie with cream for dessert and helped do all the dishes once everyone was done.

Katikati museum

I enjoyed going to Katikati museum. I like making cream into butter by churning it. We put it on some scones that we made on an old hot plate, they were tasty. 

Disco

It was disco week in music - everyone sang songs from the seventies but I brought it back to modern day with a daft punk song.
